Democrat Florida congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is being quizzed by Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC right now. She gives us some insight on how the Dems will handle McCain’s shocking choice. In a nutshell: Palin may be a woman but she is not a LIBERAL woman, therefore she is the WRONG woman. Unbelievable.
Now MSNBC is suggesting McCain’s choice alienates women because he passed over more experienced women in choosing Palin. Talk about grasping.
Whenever the left complains this much, it must be something good! Great pick, Senator McCain! She is a true conservative. The fact that she is a woman, is just a bonus!
It is a brilliant pick, yes she is a woman but she is also stauunchly conservative, a mother of five kids, pro-life and not beholden to special interests. The best part was listening to Schultz complain that a person who is a governor of a state is unqualified to be VP when her candidate is grossly unqualified to be president. It just makes tons of political sense and it brings out the truth that leftists aren’t interested in women getting to the top, they are only interested in liberal women making it to the top. Apparently, according to Schultz if you don’t support unrestricted murder of unborn children, you don’t know what is important to women.
Wow! Did John McCain pick his running mate because he needed a woman on the ticket to take “Hilary” votes, or did John McCain pick his running mate because of here qualifications to help the US?
If John McCain chose his female running mate as a “token,” then I would really question the integrity of John McCain. Isn’t it a Republican stance to fight affirmative action? It would be insulting to me to know that one of the key reasons I was selected for a position is because I was a needed minority!
While I think that a decnt pecentage of women will go over to McCain, I think there are many who would anyway. The more I think about this the more I think that the choice of a women will not effect it that much. We’ll have to see. It is still going to be hard to get over what has happened the past eight years. Of all the picks Palin is brilliant. I think that Biden will have to be careful not to tear her up too much in the debates it might bite then Dems more than help.
