I’ve just returned from a week in Pigeon Forge, TN which is a city good for only one thing – READING. The cabin was very secluded with an excellent view of the Smoky Mountains’ highest peak. It was from my perch on the deck where I spent my mornings reading, rising early by 6:30 am each day and reading until about 10:00 am each morning.
Here’s what I was reading:
- When Athens Met Jerusalem: An Introduction to Classical and Christian Thought
- The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism
- The Prayer of the Lord
- Money, Greed, and God: Why Capitalism Is the Solution and Not the Problem
- The Creation: An Appeal to Save Life on Earth (Reprint)
- Clash Of Orthodoxies: Law Religion & Morality In Crisis
- Dethroning Jesus: Exposing Popular Culture’s Quest to Unseat the Biblical Christ
Well, of course! Dollywood! What could be better?! 🙂
Pigeon Forge is only good for reading? I think you underestimate the majestic appeal of Dollywood.
OK,
When are you going to finally do some substantial intellectual reading?! Glad you had a great time in Pigeon Forge. Everyone should rent a cabin there at least once in their life! I’ve been missing the blog lately and hope to see more posts in the coming days!
