No one in the main stream media is reporting the obvious plagiarism in Obama’s speech from the Victory Tower in Berlin. As we pointed out on Thursday’s Paul Edwards Program, Obama mimicked John F. Kennedy with his “Look at Berlin” chant (Kennedy’s repeated line was “Let them come to Berlin”).
But now comes the revelation via Rush Limbaugh that Obama lifted actual words from Bono’s Live 8 speech in 2005:
BONO: This is our moment. This is our time. This is our chance. To stand up for what’s right. We’re not looking for charity. We’re lookin’ for justice!
OBAMA: People of Berlin! People of the world! This is our moment. This is our time.
I don’t think Evel Knievel could have made this big of a leap. But that’s Rush for ya …
There are reasons to not support Obama, but this isn’t one of them.
I agree with nancy, I don’t think Obamanation has any idea what his speeches say, he just gets up and looks nice and talks about hope. Who needs independent thought when you can have “change” and “hope”
They are all biased in one way or another. I do think that this is reaching quite a bit (not unusual for Rush). I do not think it is helpful for conservatives to focus on such trifles. The fact is, that the real damage to Obama’s race will come when people begin to actually focus on his record (if they can find one worth examining). The man just isn’t qualified for the office.
Pixelmaster alludes to the fact that conservatives are not very happy with McCain either. It isn’t a matter of liking McCain, it is a matter of having to make the best choice given the selection.
This is another example of the far right grasping at straws because they have nothing of substance to offer. Which is why they never tell you why voting for McCain is a good thing they only frame how bad Obama will be.
Check this video out on how Fox tried to do the same thing. It really is laughable how much they are trying to frame this issue out of nothing.

And to think some say Fox is not biased, LOL

Really, I think those words are so generic, that we have to give the “child” a break here…Besides, he probably had a nifty speech writer along for the ride…and was a bit too busy to actually pay attention before he spoke the words…*: ) A faux pas made by many celeb politicians…some even in front of open mics.
