Presidential Frolitics in Beijing

President Bush took some time during his trip to Beijing to greet a couple of the players from the US Women’s Volleyball team, one of whom, Misty May-Trainor, invited him to get up close and personal.  Recognizing that Ms. Trainor may have just been caught up in the moment, is it still not just a bit disrespectful to turn your back and invite the President of the United States to smack you on the rear?

  1. Bob M.,

WND doesn’t even attempt to be unbiased in it reporting, that said, regardless of the 31000 scientists, do you think it is wise to have policy that specifically excludes the opinion of a certain voice? Isn’t it in Proverbs where is states that a wise man has many advisors.

  2. What Global Warming? 31,000 scientists have stated that man-made GW is a farce! It just a way to get more gov’t control in our lives.

Remember the 70’s and Global Cooling? The next Ice Age was going to occur and unless we took immense measures we were all going to end up like ice cubes.

Well – we’re still here. And 30 years from now (unless Jesus comes back before then), we’ll look back at the media clips and stories and wonder “How did we get duped again?”.

  3. Paul,

this is not related to the blog post but any idea when the shows will be up to date? A buddy of mine called in yesterday and I want to hear what he had to say to you regarding T Bentley.

  4. Pixelmaster,

~~”this president is the worst in American (sic) history, by far.”

You must not have been around for Jimmy Carter and double digit rate of inflation, double digit mortgage rates, gas rationing and gas lines, a complete breakdown of foreign strength as evidenced by the Iranian embassy hostage crisis. Or, JFK and his brother Robert, sharing a prominent Hollywood star. Your lack of objectivity hurts your ability to sound convincing. You probably will not appreciate this next statement but it is given as an aid to you. Most of us who have some silver to our caps have moderated on many of our earlier positions through life. The exception to this is Ben, a well thought out, and very controlled response each and every time he chooses to contribute. He is wise beyond his years. I wish I had his composure at his age. You can learn from him. Please don’t get angry, just think before you speak.

  5. I want to ask all you proud right wingers on this blog. What do you have to say about Bush’s most recent executive order, which basically ignores all rational scientific input on endangered species and global warming? I want to know from the flag wearing right wingers what is their defense of this horrid president and his aweful policies. He only has a few months left, and he is letting big business destroy our natural resources, solid family values!!!!! I am no evironmentalist, but this type of stuff crosses the line and one of the many reasons why I think this president is the worst in american history, by far.

  6. Let me also say that I believe that there needs to be a certain amount of respect for that office, but my opinion is that Bush has made a mockery of the President’s seat so badly that this type of disrespect is almost expected.

  7. I don’t understand this reverence for leaders. Our president vowed to serve the constitution, he failed miserably, respect for leaders goes out the windows when they stop respecting the rule of law and use executive power to hide behind their misdeeds.

  8. The film clips of Bush at the games has been quite amusing. If he was actually running in this campaign, I can just imagine what would be out there about him…The funniest one I’ve seen was the one where he was sitting with Laura holding a tiny American flag whopping it up and down across his knee…If I was placing a caption for it, it would have been…..”When IS the fat lady going to sing???” He was obviously way bored.
