poor edie. she doesn’t seem to realize she is screaming:)
Really Chris? My *silence* is sour grapes? It may just be the quiet resolve of my will to the will of God.
i CANT SPEAK FOR PAUL – BUT I WOKE UP TO HEARING MY NEIGHBOR YELLING ACROSS THE STREET TO MY OTHER (GAY) NEIGHBORS (WHOM I CONSIDER MY FRIENDS I MIGHT ADD) “WE DID IT YAHOOO” ETC… AT THE TOP OF HER LUNGS.
SO I HAD A BOUT OF RANCID GRAPES AT FIRST – THEN LOOKED UPWARD AND THANKED THE LORD FOR HIS GRACE AND MERCY THAT FLOODS MY LIFE ON A DAILY BASIS. I HAVE KNOWN ALL ALONG THAT AN OBAMA PRESIDENCY HAS THE GREAT POTENTIAL OF STRENGTHENING MY WALK WITH AND DEPENDENCE ON MY LORD 🙂

Paul’s been strangely quiet today. Methinks sour grapes?
I actually believe it was, and I do not support McCain. Here’s why: Notice the pause just be for he says “congratulate”, it’s a deliberate pause at it breaks up an established cliche, this causes you to notice something is different about the statement then the tried and true, a very common indication of sarcasm. Second, pay attention the the pause directly after the statement, notably the eye close and that weird thing you do with your mouth which is like chewing gum (that old joke about how why chewing gum isn’t allowed in school). I think his body language supports that it was indeed intention.
The question is if it was for comedic effect or actual indignance. Likewise, we have no idea what that phone call was really like, and this may be settling the score. However, if the latter part of either statement is true, that is something to truly be concerned about in our next president.
He might be thinking it, but I doubt if he was really doing it.
Well… that’s a stretch.
Oh come on! I’m no Obama fan (that’s a huge understatement) but to suggest he was flipping off John McCain is grasping at straws. The manner in which he alternated between his 2nd and 3rd fingers seems more like a touch of nerves.
That’s a real jump to make there…that he’s actually deciding to “flip off” McCain when scratching his chin.
Also, remember when Bush called someone a “total a–hole” during his first campaign? And yet, we still voted for him.
But then again, he didn’t utter a cuss word AND then go out and murder babies.
