  1. Sorry for the double entry, the 1st one took several hours to post and I thought it was lost. It is hard to say it any stronger than the old hymns do. I suppose it has a lot to do with the tribulations many of these writers of old had to go through. “Tribulation worketh patience” and also draws a soul closer to God. Happy Easter all, may our Lord grant us all a refreshed spirit and a renewed commitment to the service to the King of Kings.

  2. He was despised and rejected by
    men, a man of sorrows.” Isaiah 53:3

    Man of Sorrows! what a name
    For the Son of God, Who came
    Ruined sinners to reclaim.
    Hallelujah! What a Savior!

    Bear shame and scoffing rude,
    In my place condemned He stood;
    Sealed my pardon with His blood.
    Hallelujah What a Savior!

    Guilty, vile, and helpless we;
    Spotless Lamb of God was He;
    “Full atonement!” can it be?
    Hallelujah! What a Savior!

    Lifted up was He to die;
    “It is finished!” was His cry;
    Now in Heav’n exalted high.
    Hallelujah! What a Savior!

    When He comes, our glorious King,
    All His ransomed home to bring,
    Then anew His song we’ll sing
    Hallelujah! What a Savior!

    It has been said that the word “Hallelujah” is the same in all languages!

    May all of you have a wonderful Easter and a sacred time of reflection.

    And can it be, that I should gain?

  3. Isaiah 53:3 “He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows”

    Galatians 6:14
    “May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ”

    The cross, it standeth fast-
    Hallelujah, hallelujah!
    Defying every blast-
    Hallelujah, hallelujah!
    The winds of hell have blown,
    The world its hate hath shown,
    Yet it is not overthrown-
    Hallelujah for the cross!

    It is the old cross still-
    Hallelujah, hallelujah!
    Its triumph let us tell-
    Hallelujah, hallelujah!
    The grace of God here shown
    Thru Christ, the blessed Son,
    Who did for sin atone-
    Hallelujah for the cross!

    Twas here the debt was paid-
    Hallelujah, hallelujah!
    Our sins on Jesus laid-
    Hallelujah, hallelujah!
    So round the cross we sing
    Of Christ, our offering,
    Of Christ, our living King
    Hallelujah for the cross!

    Hallelujah, hallelujah’
    Hallelujah for the cross;
    Hallelujah, hallelujah’
    It shall never suffer loss!

    It has been said that the word Hallelujah is the same in all languages.
    37 years of being gloriously saved
    and I still “Stand amazed” and still proclaim “And can it be…”

    Wishing all of you a wonderful Easter. Don Sivyer
