…this guy HATES America!
(NOTE: The following post is a repost of comments I left in response to comments made about my previous post regarding Obama’s hatred of America. I repost here to ensure it is seen by all who frequent this blog.)
The comments section of my own blog is being overrun with left-wing liberal propaganda! Pixelmaster suggests that today’s America is comparable to Hitler’s Germany and no one thinks THAT comment is over-reaching? It’s comments like those that display the kind of hatred for this country that is in the heart of Barack Obama which comes out in words like those in the above video clip.
America is not a bad country because she defends herself. America is not a bad country because she uses her intelligence ability to listen in on planned attacks on her citizens, even if those planning the attacks ARE citizens. America is not a bad country because she denies constitutional rights to enemy combatants – rights to which they were never entiled in the first place. Yet you liberal propagandists and apologists for Obama suggest that all of the above make America a bad place and have the audacity to compare America in 2008 to Hitler’s Germany! THAT IS OFFENSIVE! These things you hate about America are what protect your rights to SAY SO on this blog!
Both Barack and Michele Obama do not “love America’s values.” America values life – defending it when necessary militarily rather than cow towing to the UN and the extreme liberals in Europe – and defending life from the moment of conception, something Barack Obama is on record as radically opposing. Barack Obama refuses to protect life even AFTER it has been born if the mother had attempted to abort the baby and the abortion failed. He would allow doctors to KILL the child outside of the womb. NOW THAT SOUNDS LIKE HITLER’S GERMANY!!! Is this the “change you can believe in” the Obama campaign is promising (threatening)?
Barack Obama would destroy the institution of marriage by continuing the radical liberal agenda to legitimize sodomy.
Barack Obama is in bed with supporters of terrorism, radical Islam, and the Chicago underworld (i.e. Bill Ayers). The corrupt methods he used to win his first election are well documented by David Freddoso in his book, The Case Against Barack Obama: The Unlikely Rise and Unexamined Agenda of the Media’s Favorite Candidate. Obama is the “accidental Senator” both in the State Senate of Illinois and in the United States Senate. He won his State Senate seat using corrupt methods to have all of his opponents thrown off the ballot on a technicality. The liberal Chicago Tribune reported:
A close examination of Obama’s first campaign clouds the image he has cultivated throughout his political career: The man now running for president on a message of giving a voice to the voiceless first entered public office not by leveling the playing field, but by clearing it.
He won his US Senate seat because the one opponent who would have defeated him in a landslide flamed out on stories about his personal life. In the only real political race of his life – a congressional race – Obama lost in a landslide. Now a man who cannot win STATEWIDE office on his own merits is the Democratic nominee for president of ALL the United States????
Obama’s 20 year association with Jeremiah Wright shouts loudly of his commitment to a racial theology committed to eliminating any Anglo influence in American culture.
With all of Obama’s rhetoric about the “poor,” he just voted to raise taxes on the “wealthiest Americans” who are earning more than $32,000 a year! In addition, Obama has a long and yet to be fully revealed relationship with the convicted criminal Tony Rezko, to whom he funneled hundreds of thousands of tax-payer dollars.
You liberal posters can stick your fingers in your ear and call me a “Rush Limbaugh wannabe” all you want, but it doesn’t change the facts about who Obama is and his radical agenda to “change” American values.
When you post here you should remember that you are guests in my house. I value opposing viewpoints, but I will not tolerate personal attacks on my own character.
I have not over-reached or crossed any lines. You people are so blind to who Obama is! I am convinced that it’s a spiritual blindness inflicted by the god of this world. This blog is about bringing light to darkness. There is no question that Obama IS darkness. His defenders here can’t stand the light. “If the light in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!”
Loving the Kingdom doesn’t mean hating America. We have dual-citizenship and responsibilities in both. I love the Kingdom of God, and through this blog and my radio program I am working to implement Kingdom principles. You are free to disagree, but you are NOT free to attack my character BECAUSE you disagree. It WILL NOT be tolerated.
I have NEVER been more offended by comments posted here than I have by these comments. Consider this a shot across your bow. You will not turn my blog into a deposit for liberal crap.
“and then… they just get pixellated”
Maybe the “Pixelmaster” can help with that……
Bo… I can’t tell what those little yellow guy’s are thinking…or even who they are…they just pop in and out and unless I blow the text up really BIG…and then… they just get pixellated…. so I think they must have said something not nice….
Paul… any relation to Calvin?
you see I neglected to change it again as I used the back prompt.
Pixel,
No just an honest mistake that I tried to correct. I appreciate your acceptance of my attempt. Had you been reading this blog throughly you would have noticed that my outing credit goes to b/Bo. He and Nancy had discussed this several weeks ago. I may disagree with him on issues but I love and appreciate him the same. He ain’t heavy.
BTW, what does “Pixelmaster” cover? Surely this is not the name given you by your parents.
What would you do about the Georgia situation? Just curious.
~~ how “easy” is it to transport WMD without it being noticed by the world in a day of satellite, not easy.
Must be fairly easy, even you admit they had them in 1991. Assuming your conclusions, where did they go to then? Did anyone see them move them out?
~~kick the warmonger NeoCons out of office
OK – kick them out, then do what?
I know what I’ll do, I will boldly go to my fathers throne this evening being that I’m unable to change these issues we discuss, but He is able. And yes, as repulsive as the idea is to you, it will most likely be accompanied by a King James bible. Remember to quote me correctly please, we were not taught to “worship” the KJV, only the God of it. I would tell you of some of my other favorite reads but you have already rejected them as being those authored by those awful fundamentalists who never were able to accomplish much for they were so steeped in error.
was addressing Paul G. as I was attempting to do my job at the same time, thus the “Paul” in the name header, it should have been st.
Are you sure you are not just doing what “I think” you do all the time and change your name to cover the identity? Hmmm I am on to you pal, your posts sound just like d and another poster of old call Don Sivyer.
“Did it ever occur to you that a different country other than Iraq has them in storage? ”
Heard that theory, sounds like a conspiracy theory to me. Fact is they were never found and besides, how “easy” is it to transport WMD without it being noticed by the world in a day of satellite, not easy.
“But even so, what do we do now?”
kick the warmonger NeoCons out of office that use our faith as a way to gain political power. I much prefer to advise those on this blog who continue to give GWB and his minions a free pass for the awful situation we are in.
re: #38
I was addressing Paul G. as I was attempting to do my job at the same time, thus the “Paul” in the name header, it should have been st.
Pixel,
Your assumption is correct. It still had merit in the humor category.
A merry heart is like medicine to the soul.
Did it ever occur to you that a different country other than Iraq has them in storage? But even so, what do we do now? Perhaps you could moonlight as an adviser and help fix this situation. (again, just humor)
Leave it to Bo to add the “creative” side to the debate…..
Joe,
I looked on the link that you provided from Obama, I couldn’t find killing babies and creating a Communistic society where all the Christians are going to perish. That is my understanding of him, so that site must be false somehow. Are you a left wing propagandist?????
Now all we have to do is add some music or film to this topic and we’ve covered the breadth of “God & Culture”… 🙂
Clinton used “Don’t Stop” by Fleetwood Mac as their them song. How about:
Obama: “Changes” by David Bowie or “New Sensation” by INXS
McCain: “Keep Pushin’ On” by REO Speedwagon or “Hold the Line” by Toto
Paul #38,
There were WMD, we (the city on the hill) sold them to him to fight the Iranians. However, they got rid of them in 1991, proof? have they ever been found?
I hope your Gore comment was satire and not what the right wing has pushed for years, because you, hopefully, know that Gore worked on a Bill to make the i-net from military domain to the public domain. That is how he “invented” the internet, but you knew that right?
Joe,
You are quite a savvy fella usin’ that there Google to get yur info and not relying on right wing talking points to summarize your view on a candidate. Good on you for that, as Thom Hartmann would say. Welcome to the blog, your views are appreciated and valued.
Paul Golder,
You have nailed the dilemma between the two positions. I personally believe that there IS a choice. ~ Joshua 24:15 , Proverbs 1:29
I’m one of:the lone birds on this blog.
Pixel,
The classic difference indeed. BTW, Al Gore invented the i-net and I support that. Does this make me a middle of the roader? Gore and Clinton both agreed that there were weapons of mass destruction. It is difficult to get a non political statement from either side these days.
Greg Rice: “But when the government is allowed to control more and more of our lives, the only result is less and less freedom to choose our own path.”
Can you tell me how precisely Obama is scheming to control more and more of our lives?
” and NOT giving specifics on what “change” he he does want to bring about”
He’s pretty specific about his plans. I used The Google to find it. http://www.barackobama.com/issues/
“If socialism is so beneficial, why in the world do they have to build walls and fences around socialist countries?”
Which candidate is promoting socialism what businesses is he planning to nationalize? (Caveat: This is a loaded question.) 😉
I was going to go down the trail that Bo mentioned, what does America mean? Is America a country that should Police the world? Yes step to the right please, No, Ok go to the left. Is America still that city on a hill even with all the preemptive war, torture and literal hatred of our recent actions worldwide? Yes, go to the right, No, step over to the left. This could go on and on, The right feels it is our God given right to be the moral police and using miltary force is the best way of accomplishing those means. The left say, we have made some wrong moves and should look to ask the world for forgiveness, through the lens of the right the view of the left is hatred since we seemingly can do no wrong. The one thing I ask everyone who is in favor of this war to do is, think if Gore won in 2000 and took the same path as GWB, would you have the same views? Most certainly the Right would be using their moral superior stance to speak out against it, when I mean right I mean the talking heads. It’s a question that all of us should ask, if we are Republicans and support an issue, would we still support it of the Dems were the champions of that cause, and vice versa?
Nancy… the little wink at the end was the clue that I was joking… 😉
However, I guess in the end so much of this comes down to semantics (as so often is the case). I suspect there is a big difference between what Paul, Obama, and I mean by “hate” and by “America”. We’re probably assuming that we mean the same thing by the words we use when actually we don’t because we have different understandings or definitions. The way Paul spoke of “America” in his reply especially leads me to that hunch. There’s a LOT of that going around these days. 🙁 (that’s a sad face, meaning I’m saddened by that thought) 😉 (that’s another wink meaning I knew you knew what a sad face meant but I was just teasing you).
st,
I agree, God’s sovereignty, is equaled by his omnipotence, and omniscience. The question that remains is: Why does God tell us to choose if there is no choice?
In Christ,
Paul
A prophetical gift rarely shows forth warm and fuzzy sentiment…I usually disrupts our comfort zone and makes us confront reality…I seriously don’t believe that David’s initial reaction to Nathan’s words was a warm hug and a “I love you brother…” However, David, being a man after God’s own heart knew how to repent quickly…
Pixelmaster,
Thank-You for the welcome. Your right, this was an political topic wasn’t it…
I understand your move to the left, I was raised with a far left point of view. And like I said in my first post “I’m as right winged as I can be while still being a Christian”. There are those, who when they hear my viewpoint on social politics, think that I’m still a liberal. That said I must agree with Paul Edwards, if Obama is anything like the people that I grew up with (and his words say he is) he does hate America.
Also I know what you are saying about doctrines. There are many biblical truths that I firmly believe, and will never falter. But when it comes to doctrine I stand firm on one thing, that is Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.
In Christ,
Paul
I don’t EVEN believe that Paul HATES Obma…just his Marxist stance…Obama’s world view is worthy of confrontation; exposure and correction… True light will always expose error…
Hey, regarding the original topic… I’m not convinced that Obama HATES America, but I’m suspicious that Paul might HATE Obama. 😉
Paul
I did not mean to allude we were not to “study” Him. I think it proves out the flesh we dwell in, that we sometimes suggest we have Him figured out (as I said) in “totality”.
~~~ “So while I may never comprehend the totality of God, I will continue to seek Him and His ways throughout my life…” And I also.
What do you think of the body of the post as relating to the sovereignty, omnipotent, omniscience components?
Thank you
Paul Golden,
What you say is compelling in the light of how so many Christians will say what you say, yet be very staunch on doctrinal positions. This is one of the main reasons why I started to move leftward over the past year. Rob Bell tells it well when he says that doctrines should not serve as bricks to a wall and if one fails then the entire wall falls down, but should be more like a spring on a trampoline that can bend and flex but still hold up the faith itself. God is great and mysterious; many like the idea that he is completely revealed in scripture; yet even going to scripture it is hard to defend any one particular position as there are usually passages that completely contradict that position. This is why I tire of listening to heresy hunters; often times they don’t delve deeply into why they are defending their position enough to even speak intelligently about it.
KJV Only, comes to mind anyone?
BTW, there was a comment #20 in the previous blog post about why theology doesn’t generate as much interest as politics. Note this was a political post that has morphed into theology.
BTW, welcome to the blog Paul, you have add some great posts so far….
st,
We are never instructed not to search out the knowledge of God. On the contrary, we are told to know Him and His will as much as possible with our limited minds. Even God Himself said “Come now, and let us reason together” (Isaiah 1:18).
One of the goals (if not the main goal) of having this type of discussion is to bring to light misinterpretations of scripture, and then bring them into line with what the bible plainly teaches.
So while I may never comprehend the totality of God, I will continue to seek Him and His ways throughout my life…
In Christ,
Paul
Here is a thought;
God’s sovereignty, is equaled by his omnipotence, and omniscience. With that being stated, God’s sovereignty is not challenged through mans “free will” because of the magnitude of his omnipotence and the depth of his omniscience. It is clear from scripture that some do not follow God’s will. What I find surprising is that we attempt to define our God when we are clearly instructed that His ways are past finding out, neither are they our ways. One rule I learned early on, that is if any interpretation contradicts other scripture it is being handled wrong. I often cannot justify all scripture, but I do not force any of it due to mans (my) inability to comprehend the totality of God.
1. Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.
2. O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
3. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,….
This thought just popped into mind…while the other “characters” may really argue what the script means and how it should be played…It’s only the “Director” (Holy Spirit) who gets to step in and say,”You’re not playing your part right!” Too much backtalk can get you thrown out of the show… Quick repentance is always in order…
I would venture to say, that everyone in practicality believes in the sovereignty of God…exactly what that entails is the conundrum…
It seems to me the scriptures do indeed show we are responsible for our actions and decisions…Father God on the other hand is there to make sure our “free willing” doesn’t cross past His set bounds even as the oceans and watercourses have set bounds that they cannot exceed without His permission or specific decree.
Each of us are indeed specifically designed with the personality and predisposition to carry out the role set for us, on this very public stage called life… *: )
b/Bo,
Your point is well taken. Reformed theology does present a apparent paradox. On the one hand we are told that someday we will stand before the judgment seat of and account for every decision we have made, and then on the other hand we are told that all of those decisions have been preordained by God alone. One could almost argue that from time to time the Spirit yields His will to allow man to do the “right thing”. Like Eve deciding whether or not to obey God.
Yet we have the witness of Holy Scripture that shows that God had an exact plan of how and who would be responsible for killing Christ.
Either way we can rest in the knowledge that God has a plan, and cares for those He loves. And regardless of what happens in the future we know that it will work for the good of them that Love Christ Jesus.
In Christ,
Paul
Paul,
One of the easiest things to do is put forth a point that is based on scripture alone. A prime reason why there is a multitude of denominations and nondenominations to choose from.
I tell ya, I love to watch all you guys talk about how you are “right wing” as if that is a good thing. It appears that the social causes of the right have causes a lot of folks to claim it and be proud of it. The more I understand the entirety of these issues without the framing of the talking heads(Pro-choice = Pro death) it is hard to deny that the left has it right in a lot of respects. I hear that socialize medicine is such a bad thing, but what about socialize Police, socialize firefighters, what about the government funded roads you drive on? What about socialized knowledge in libraries? We always hear about the evils of socialism but these services are all socialized and work very well. I certainly fear too much gov’ment intervention, but I think some of the info that is given us might not be correct. We hear about how taxes will be raised with a democrat, but if that lowers the national debt and strengthens the value of the dollar is that a bad thing? Economist compare the chasm of wealth to poor in this country to prior to the great depression, deregulation and unbalanced tax policy for the wealth put more of the onus on the everyday worker to pay for much needed services. As with most things, usually the best solutions fall in the middle. Do I think that companies can do anything they want for a profit? no Do I think that we need to go to the gov’ment to get permission to open businesses and be told how they should run? absolutely not. Do I think unfettered abortion is wrong, absolutely, will outlawing it solve any problems? I have many questions as to if things will get worse in this country if it ever were to get outlawed. Am I in favor of Gay Marriage, no, there are other solutions allow for marriage to be sacred and still allow for legal unions. I hear folks on the right say that the left is ruining our society and their call is to move further to the right, this will never work. This is especially the case in the evangelical community, in the past many of us just thought of GOP as God Own Party and it was our “Christian” duty to vote republican. This paradigm no longer reigns, James Dobson and Pat Robertson no longer speak for many of us in Gen X and younger. BTW for the record, I have never voted for a left wing candidate and I voted for Ron Paul in the primary. Just for those who think I am a leftist. I do ask those who wear the label of right proudly, get a book by an old time right winger, John Dean and Kevin Phillips are decent, and see what they have to say about the modern right. It is eye opening.
Paul Golder,
God “turning a king’s heart” toward something doesn’t necessarily mean a marionette situation, but could instead mean a predisposition toward or against something. The analogy used in this passage of scripture is that of the flow of a river whose course can be altered without necessarily “dictating” where each drop goes and each grain of dirt on the riverbank is moved.
I know, I know – this is a “reformed” site and I’m voicing something contrary to some people’s understanding of the sovereignty of God…
b/Bo,
My statement is based on scripture alone:
“The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD;
he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases. ”
Proverbs 21:1
In Christ,
Paul
“Sovereign” is quite a loaded term. King David was sovereign during his reign, though his will wasn’t always done by the people; in such cases, he had the authority to punish or show mercy. I’m not so sure that “sovereign” means we’re all marionettes, but scripture does say that He is ultimately the one that sets up one ruler over another, and that promotion comes from God. Maybe this is why we pray “May your kingdom come; may your will be done on earth just like it’s done in heaven”. But whether Obama or McCain will do in office exactly what God wills that they do…sorry, I don’t think I can go along with that.
Paul Golder,
Amen and amen, my brother! Well spoken! Thank you for those encouraging words for all of us. God is totally sovereign and we have not reason to fear.
I’m as right winged as I can be while still being a Christian. So I worry about a person like Obama becoming president. I worry that he has no experience in leadership. I worry that he will place our country into the hands of the people that are using him as their tool. I worry about all of the damage he could do to our economy. I worry that while my neighbor is allowed to kill their unborn child, I will not be able to defend myself with a gun, or perhaps someday not be able to read my bible in public.
But when I do find myself worrying about all of the things that Obama may someday do, I am reminded that my God is sovereign. And I know without a doubt that if Obama does become president, he will do exactly what God wills him to do, no more, and no less.
So during all of the turmoil in the world, and that which is yet to come, I will take comfort in the words of Jesus Christ my Lord, and “fear not”.
Thanks Greg, that’s OK so long as we can reason together. I love the Lord first and foremost and hope his light shines through my posts. Even though I don’t get his help with my grammer and spelling. HAHA
By the way, Pixelmaster, I don’t think you are total EXTREME left-wing propagandist! Just a little too far left for my taste! 😉
ST…if that’s the translation…You must be using google translate…*: )
Nancy,
Thanks for the insightful comments. I am a firm believer in spirited debate that sticks to the issues and does not descend into ad hominum attacks. I think that is why I enjoy this forum so much, besides the fact that I have been friends with some of these guys for over 35 years. This is what genuine Christian love is supposed to be.
Pixelmaster,
I agree that laissez faire capitalism is almost as dangerous as socialism, however, that is what balance of powers as laid out in the Constitution helps to keep in check. In Romans 13:1-8, Paul the Apostle tells us,
“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.”
God ordained government and Solomon told us in Proverbs 21:1,
“The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.”
With God in control, we have no reason to fear what government may do, however, we must strive for what is right, within the proper priority. Bring relief to a man’s soul primarily, and whenever possible, relieving his physical pain in the process. Just don’t lose sight of the primary thing (Matthew 9)!
I am not a blind follower of the Republican Party (even though it’s the only party for which I have voted) and John McCain concerns me greatly. But one thing I do know about John McCain is that he absolutely does love this country and would never do anything to jeopardize our national security. The domestic stuff is another story, McCain-Feingold in particular.
Congress is an absolute train wreck! Besides the most obvious culprits in the Democratic leadership and their lockstep minions, a great amount of the blame rests at the feet of Republicans who have failed miserably in their lack of leadership. In 1994, I was working at a hotel in Branson, MO and sat and watched the election returns with the owner of the hotel and we sat and cheered as the voters cleaned out both the House and Senate. I was optimistic because there was a clear conservative agenda and that is why the Republicans swept in. I could not have been more wrong.
But here we are 14 years later and the Congress has had an approval rating as low as 9%! The Republicans wimped out and the Democrats took advantage. We have a bunch of Republicans too afraid of what people will think of them if they actually do what they were elected to do (Proverbs 29:25a, “The fear of man bringeth a snare:”) and a bunch of Democrats so hunger for power, they have no concern for the very people they say they care about.
We need to get back to the basic principles on which this country was founded. It is appalling to me that most people have never read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution, let alone understand the principles behind these great documents. I would suggest that every single American do just that. There is no excuse since the Heritage Foundation has offered free copies of these to anyone who request it (just go to http://www.heritage.org to request a copy). We as Americans have a responsibility to those who gave their lives for this nation to exist.
Do we have to agree on everything? Of course not! We are not going to have this figured out until we finally reach the other side. But in the meantime, we need to seriously strive for the truth and that will take diligent study and communication. Let’s continue to meet the challenge head-on.
I’ve been to the “State Fair”.
Thanks Joel, spelling was not my strong point in school, left wing propaganizing was…..
Joel…laza fair is the Texas version…*: ), but I didn’t know it was used outside the state…
It’s laissez faire, not laza fair.
Just to… let you know.
Greg said “But when the government is allowed to control more and more of our lives, the only result is less and less freedom to choose our own path.”
As with most other things we have a problem with two extremes, do I like the free market, yes, however does that mean the laza fair capitalism is good either, no. I think government can serve a purpose to help companies thrive and also protect the normal citizen. The “free market” of today is a myth when it protects profit of multinational corperations over the well bring of the citizens and the economy of the nation. I hope that someday a balance can be met in the extremes of most issues. (Says the left wing propagandist)
Greg…one (two) great attributes of this community (blog)…repentance and forgiveness…they go hand in hand and no matter how crazy it seems to get here…to this point…we seem to be able to disagree in love…conflicting views many times shine a light into a rather dark world bringing things into the spot light so corrections can be made…teachability…now there’s an idea…I think that goes hand in hand with mind renewal….
With the death of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn this week, it should remind us of the horrors of communism. Anyone who has read The Gulag Archipelago is convinced of this fact.
Am I saying that if we elect Obama that we will have Soviet style gulags? No I am not. But when the government is allowed to control more and more of our lives, the only result is less and less freedom to choose our own path. By telling us that “America is …, uh, is no longer, uh … what it could be, what it once was,” and NOT giving specifics on what “change” he he does want to bring about, what else can we conclude, given his associations?
If socialism is so beneficial, why in the world do they have to build walls and fences around socialist countries? To keep its people inside to enjoy the blessings?
WOW! I’m out of town for a few days and things blow up! (How fun is that!) I’m glad to see that everyone is friends again.
Paul, I couldn’t agree more. If the shady characters surrounding Obama were included in a novel, the author would be accused of sensationalizing! Along with Bill Ayers and Tony Rezko, what about his admitted mentor from high school, Frank Marshall Davis, and his “pastor” Jeremiah Wright (and Wright’s favorite “theologian,” James Hal Cone). Obama also has shown a great affinity for Saul Alinsky and has expressed support for Kenyan presidential hopeful Raila Odinga. If these associations and admirations don’t show at least a socialist bias, I think the only thing would be for Obama to actually come out and admit it himself by saying “Yes, I am a socialist!” (Kinda like Bernie Sanders, but at he is not running for president and I guess being socialist is in vogue in Vermont!)
Keep up the great work, Paul. With more guys like you, socialism with die the death it should have died when it was conceived!
You should be warm and fuzzy all the time…not just some of the time or most of the time…of course all or us meanies would turn you into a frisbee squirrel by the end of the first day… I am glad you have been inculturated enough to put up with our textural antics.
Paul,
Thanks for adding some clarification to your post yesterday. I don’t think the video does anything to help your case, but you have certainly made an interesting case with this post. I think we would all be doing ourselves disservice if we think that one politician is “bad” and another one is “good.” McCain has all kinds of skeletons in his closet as well. I think an honest politician is an oxymoron and don’t see how it would be possible to become President without being a liar, an egomaniac and full of pride. Come to think of it, I guess most of us (including myself) are qualified to be President. Thank God for Jesus Christ (who I am pretty sure could never have run for a political office and still saved the world). I hope you do a post of all the bad, shady, hidden things about McCain as well.
Paul, I want to first apologize if I offended you, secondly I posted in the previous blog with additional comments. We can all cross a line at times, I never intended to get people mad with sometimes jiding comments. God bless.
Paul,
Bravo, Bravo!
Remember Bocamp (sic) at the Springfield meeting when he was referencing the “Texas Meeting”? It took GUTS in those days to take a stand. You are completely dead on the money!!! To use a second quote, “it put some iron in your blood, a ramrod up your back”. You have never lost your’s. Praise God! Verle was correct.
This election cycle has the appearance of an outside support system the likes I have never witnessed in all my 55 years.
It is exactly “CRAP”.
100 percent with you on this one.
