Could you imagine the media outcry if a larger than life image of George W. Bush was on display outside the White House? Is there no end to this man’s arrogance? I predict before the end of his first term a move will be made to put Obama’s image on our currency.

    The comment reminds me of a husband and wife in the car. He’s driving, she’s navigating.

    Wife: Honey we are going the wrong way.
    Husband: Yeah, but we’re making GREAT time.

    I agree that no matter which side of the spectrum you are on conservative or liberal, the major problem for humanity isn’t the gov’t. However, I think that Christians have a duty to be good citizens. That requires staying informed and engaged.

    Paul, do you recall the graffiti on the park sign off West Chicago in the old neighborhood? You know, back when people stashed &5,000 or so in curtains. A good bank teller could feel that amount, almost to the penny!

  3. Well, the only reason I’d get mad at a George Bush portrait like that is because it would probably have been done in crayon.

    I don’t think Obama’s been great but he’s been ambitious. And I certainly don’t think things would be any better had John McCain won. But I’m giving up on politics because, quite frankly, I just don’t care anymore. I’ll enjoy things that matter like family, art and faith. Obama’s not ruining America…it’s been in decline for years. If socialism doesn’t kill it, unchecked capitalism would have. The problem isn’t that Obama’s a liberal. It’s that liberals and conservatives are so concerned of their own right-ness that they can’t see that they’re both wrong and that the truth and real solutions are in the middle and require compromise on both sides. Until Americans gain the ability to dialogue and not shut up or shut down opposing viewpoints, I’m checking out of the noise.
