Barry, I’ve always thought that Theresa Andersson’s new album sounded an awful lot like what Andrew Bird would sound like as a female. They even perform the same way live.

WALL-E isn’t a Christian film. I don’t mean a list of ‘Christian films’ but rather a list of Christian film critics listing films that aren’t simply visual tracts.
Although I do think WALL-E is the most humane, beautiful film. And I do seriously want to know what Paul would think of “Doubt.” I wasn’t being sarcastic when I said I’d love to hear Paul’s thoughts on some movies…I thought his comments on “There Will Be Blood” last year were spot on…I’m a critic for my weekly paper and I thought “There Will Be Blood” and “No Country for Old Men” were perfect illustrations of Romans 1 in action. “Doubt” would be a very interesting film for Christians to discuss as it discusses certainty, judging and how we approach each other in the church. . . just because I don’t agree with Paul’s politics doesn’t mean I don’t think he has some good thoughts–his theology is usually right on.
And Joel, I’m glad to hear he likes Webb…I think Derek Webb’s “Wedding Dress” is the greatest song of the decade from Christian music.

Is it a sign that I am old that I haven’t heard any of those songs and I don’t know any of those “artists”? I mean, isn’t Lambchop that sock puppet from the kids show?
Chris, is “wall-e” your idea of a Christian film? Is there such a thing as a “Christian film”?
I was astonished, until I saw that the list was written by Joel Edwards–there is no way Paul listens to The Raconteurs or Cold War Kids. I’d be surprised if he even listens to Derek Webb, given Webb’s political bent to the left.
Nice list. I’d be curious to see a movie list. Wonder what Paul thinks of something like “doubt” or “wall-e.” I just hope to see one Christian film list that doesn’t include “Fireproof” starring “bypass the intellect” Kirk Cameron!
