Before joining the&nbsp;<em>New York Times<\/em>, he was a senior editor for the&nbsp;<em>Atlantic<\/em>. He is the film critic for&nbsp;<em>National Review<\/em>, and he cohosts the&nbsp;<em>New York Times<\/em>\u2019s weekly op-ed podcast,&nbsp;<em>The Argument<\/em>.
