What does it say about the desperation of the rabid Romney supporters that they are now quoting as authoritative the same MSM they once despised? In his latest attack on Huckabee<\/a>, conservative blogger Hugh Hewitt\u00a0cites the liberal Mother Jones as supporting evidence that conservatives should abandon the former Arkansas governor.<\/p>\n

Hugh Hewitt\u00a0was so influential in creating the new media as a transparent alternative to the MSM,\u00a0yet he has become a slave to the old media, citing the New York Times<\/a> and Mother Jones<\/a> as reliable sources in his harangues against Huckabee. Now Hewitt is even joining the liberal left in attacking the sermons<\/a> that Governor Huckabee preached while\u00a0a pastor in Arkansas.<\/p>\n

Who is attacking whose religion here? If Romney’s personal faith is off limits for scrutiny – even after HE made it an issue by delivering a major speech on the subject – why the rush to delve into the personal faith of Mike Huckabee?<\/p>\n

BTW,\u00a0please show me where Mike Huckabee has attacked Mitt Romney’s faith? The New York Times takes a legitimate question from the governor out of context and the rabid Romney\u00a0supporters characterize\u00a0it as bigotry. The facts are Huckabee’s question wasn’t bigoted at all. The LDS church teaches that Jesus and Satan are brothers<\/a>. Is the LDS church bigoted against itself?<\/p>\n

On a normal day you would find Hugh citing evidence for the bias in the MSM, but when your candidate is double digits behind, and the MSM is attacking the man with the double digit lead, you ignore bias and join the mob to destroy the character of the man who’s holding your man down. I’m afraid nothing much is normal about Hugh these days and it makes my heart very sad.<\/p>\n

How low can Hugh go? I thought it was the lowest of the low when he called Governor Huckabee “Clintonesque.”<\/a> But then he implied the governor was an anti-Semite and an anti-Catholic bigot<\/a>. What’s next?<\/p>\n

Hewitt and Company have succeeded admirably in alienating the social conservative family vote. Let the word go forth that when the general election comes around in a year and the conservative movement is fractured, it was the rabid Romney supporters who are responsible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
