On this page were some old photos of the Ecorse Drive-In theater that was located on Ecorse Road between Pardee and Monroe when I was kid. I remember well the day in 1980 when the screen was blown down by a wind storm.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.godandculture.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/ecorse_drivein_2.jpg\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.godandculture.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/ecorse_drivein_12.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2021\" title=\"ecorse_drivein_1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.godandculture.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/ecorse_drivein_12-300x176.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"176\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.godandculture.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/ecorse_drivein_12-300x176.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.godandculture.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/ecorse_drivein_12.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.godandculture.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/ecorse_drivein_2.jpg\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2019\" title=\"ecorse_drivein_2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.godandculture.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/ecorse_drivein_2-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"263\" height=\"175\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.godandculture.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/ecorse_drivein_2-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.godandculture.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/ecorse_drivein_2.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 263px) 100vw, 263px\" \/><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I was overcome with nostalgia when I saw the pictures, and wondered, &#8220;What causes us to be nostalgic? What is that warm feeling we get when we recall a memory from our childhood?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I plan to devote an hour of a future show to exploring the subject, but for now <a href=\"http:\/\/veryevolved.com\/2009\/02\/neuroscience-and-nostalgia\/\" target=\"_blank\">here is an interesting article I read<\/a> while doing research for that future show.
