July 11, 2007 Headline from the Senate Democrats’ Website:
Reid: Growing Al Qaeda Threat Underscores Need To Change Iraq Strategy, Refocus Bush Administration Efforts On Terrorism
July 19, 2007 Headline from the Washington Post:
Al-Qaeda in Iraq Figure Is in U.S. Custody
The president’s Iraq strategy relative to the Al Qaeda threat appears to be working. Is it mere partisan politics that keep the Democrats from recognizing it?
Paul,
First, let me get the getting paid by Bush comment as more tongue and cheek than anything. I apologize for insulting your intelligence.
Second, Some of my frustration when I see these free passes for Bush and his Administration comes back to me, because I used to do what I see many other Christians do and that is not question some obvious misleadings because, those “evil” Dems are bringing it up. And of course as Christians we understand best the fight between good “us” and evil “anyone else that disagrees”.
Lets address the last statement (Your arguments are not on the level of the issues), I have sent you stuff about 9/11, I will first state that some of it might be over the top (Alex Jones). However, there is a LOT of questions that a LOT of Americans want answers too. These issues should not be glossed over, as 9/11 was the catalyst to the War on Terror. I watched the film “911 Press for Truth” last night, made by the family members of some of the fallen on 9/11. It doesn’t suppose that a shadow government is behind everything, but it does bring to light facts that leaders of this administration knew something was going to happen and did nothing about it. It shows how leaders in our administration refused to allow an investigation into 9/11 and when they did the head of it was Philip Zelikow, someone very close to C. Rice and Bush. What of the NORAD stand down order by Chaney in the testimony of Norman Mineta? What of the whistleblowers that state that they informed our leadership of something? Again, why is this important, because it has been the catalyst of our foreign policy over the past 6 years. Meanwhile, on the home front, we don’t’ secure our borders(I know you disagreed with this but it was easy bc Bush sided with the Dems on this), yet we remove habeas corpus, we already discussed wire tapping, allowing search and seizure without a warrants. Now we have our leadership meeting in Canada on August 21st to discuss the North American Union which would essentially shred our Constitution. Hmmm, maybe that is why we don’t close our borders? Back to 9/11, we cannot simply ignore the host of odd circumstances surrounding that day as “conspiracy” garbage. There are legitimate questions that our leaders are not answering and our media is not stepping up and demanding answers to. If we simply take the official story as truth then we are endorsing the murder and suffering of many hundreds of thousands of innocent people. Conspiracies have been exposed in the past, why are we so naive to think that they would not happen again? Terror is the most effective way for free people to give up liberties; governments have been doing it for years. Is there legit terrorism, yes, do we need to fight it, yes, however, we should demand answers to the many questions that are not being answered. If not, we could see ourselves intrenched in a full blown WWIII scenario.
The below headline scares me, they were wrong about Iraq, we cannot allow this to happen.
Cheney pushes Bush to act on Iran

BTW, it would have been nice to atleast get something back from you in e-mail, even a “get lost you idiot”, is better than being ignored
I still like you Paul, I still love your show, I am grateful of the book you gave me. I appreciate your stance for truth in the church; we need to call for the same truth in our governmental leadership, Dem or Rep.
Jeff,
Supporting Bush where he is right is not being a Bush apologist. As for showing my true colors: have I ever hidden them? I do not support the president’s policies on Iraq because he is a Christian. I support the president’s policies in Iraq because, as evidenced by the Washington Post piece (not a neo-con publication by any means), the president’s policies are working. Given enough time the United States will succeed in Iraq, much to the chagrin of those whose personal hatred for this president is so strong they are willing to see the United States disgraced.
I’m weary of the mantra that “Bush Lied.” You have no evidence for the liberal lie that this president lied. You would have to get into the head of GWB to know what he knew and why he acted on what he knew. You have no clue what he knew. Has he made mistakes? Absolutely.
I’m also weary of those who continue to call into question the sincerety of GWBs faith. He has never used his faith to justify the war. He has said that it is his faith that sustains him. For you to question that he is a sincere follower of Jesus Christ merely because you disagree with his policies is in itself contrary to Christian principle.
As for the Neo-Cons I support, I have no idea what you are talking about. You have insulted my intelligence by suggesting that I hold my positions not because I have thought them through, but because Bush is giving me cash and I merely parrot the Neo-Cons (whoever they are). I hope you see now, Jeff, why I have hesitated to respond to you. Your arguments are not on the level of the issues.
Paul, Paul, Paul (shaking my head)
“The president’s Iraq strategy relative to the Al Qaeda threat appears to be working”
I have heard you say you are not a Bush apologist, this post shows your true colors. Does Bush give you cash for this kind of post. Seriously, you think Bush’s stratagy is working? Bro, take off the rose colored glasses, stop doubting all his lies, look at his fruit and realize he is not the wonderful evengelical he claims to be. The Neo-Cons that you support will someday run this country into the ground, and us Christians will help them since we put our stamp of “Christian” approval (They said they are Christian we believe it) on them and let God handle the rest.
