The mess we’re in…

Robert Novak gives us excellent insight into precisely why the Federal budget deficit will always be a deficit. At least one congressman with integrity stood on principle against the entire House of Representatives as he demanded justification for millions of dollars of earmarks that aren’t needed nor have they been requested by various departments of the government. These earmarks serve only one purpose: rewarding constiuents back home for their support.
Read Mr. Novak’s excellent column: House of Corruption?
And this is this surprising to you in which way?
John Murtha has plenty of skeletons in his closet to suggest this is standard operating procedure for him. I wouldn’t expect any different from him, or for that matter, most of the rest of his colleagues either.
Paul, remember Dr Vick telling us preacher boys that the three great downfalls of the flesh are; money, power, and sex. It appears these issues are rampant in our government as in most governments.
As we have discussed before, thank the Lord we are not considering to vote on a pastor with this group of leaders.
Our Government officials are bankrupting us. This war is especially taxing, something is going to have to give at this current pace, our jobs are all going over seas, we have to borrow to sustain our living standard. Folks on wall street are getting richer, while the middle class is eroding. Maybe more of us should start listening to what Ron Paul has to say, he has a lot of great ideas about how to bring this country back to what it once was.
