The embattled Bishop Eddie Long was crowned a King by his New Birth Church this past Sunday, January 29, 2012. This is the most frightful, blasphemous thing I have ever seen done in the name of God in a worship service. Watch the whole video and then tell me 2 Thessalonians 2:4 doesn’t apply:
“Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God, sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”
Ridiculous, stupid, funny, sad, depressing, distressing, disturbing, tormenting, upsetting, unbearable, heartbreaking, agonizing, painful, troubling…what am I leaving out???
This is frightening — especially because apparently nobody close to Eddie Long is willing to be his Nathan, willing to say “Thou art the man.” It is bad enough that Long’s sin is going unconfessed and therefore unforgiven, but it is far worse that it is going unconfronted.
That was perhaps the greatest portrayal of pure idiots I have witnessed in my nearly 60 years.
Glory to God there is a real King ~~~~ and his name is JESUS.
Antichrist? Hardly!
When he does show up, he will be a greater deceiver and have much grander appeal than this pitiful crowd. What is really amazing is the response from the attendees.
Perhaps they could use his talents in Washington DC however.

And as I said on my Facebook page, “even now are there many antichrists” (1John 2:18).
Well, the speaker is certainly pulling a lot of Scripture out of context; but we would also be pulling II Thessalonians 2:4 out of context if we tried to apply it to this circumstance. The Thessalonians letter specifically addressed an event involving the Antichrist during the Tribulation.
