Logan’s Call to the Radio Station

A friend made me aware of this sweet call a young boy made to a radio station. Logan is a 13 year-old boy who lives on a ranch in a very small town in Nebraska. Logan listens to Christian Radio station 89.3FM KSBJ which broadcasts from Houston, TX. Logan called the Morning Show with Mike and Susan distraught because he had to take down a calf . His words have wisdom beyond his years. Get your Kleenex.

UPDATE: Logan and his mother, Tee Jay, will be LIVE on The Paul Edwards Program TODAY (Tuesday, November 20) at 4:30 pm ET. Stream it live at http://www.godandculture.com.

  1. I have been having a tough time lately because of missing my daddy. This is exactly what I needed. God bless 🙏

  2. this was an inspiring story and i just want to say that i have learned to be a better person because of what i just heard, and it even made me tear up a little bit. I want to tell everybody not to take life for granted because you never know what will happen next. Who ever i reach i hope you take what i said in everyday life.

  3. Where is my wisdom and faith? A small boy made me cry this morning with the honesty and the innocence of his.

Thank you Lord for bringing my day to a halt and making me realize again that one doesn’t need degrees or diplomas to know that true meaning of life and You. This boy spoke more to my heart than most preachers ever did.

  4. Well, I have listened to this nearly 50 times, and come away with tears and a resolution to train my sons better. Thanks Logan for having the courage to call in. You are wiser beyond your years. Keep the faith, for great is your reward. Sharon B is right on with her opinion too.
Thank You JESUS for being the intercessor you are.. Thank YOU GOD for loving me and being so GOOD!!

  5. I have often wondered how a person manages to go on in any fashion whatso ever when they lose a loved one (a child or spouse unexpectedly especially), if they have no belief in God. Mostly because without a belief in something beyond this, something better than this, there is no hope. What would be the reason to get out of bed in the morning not to mention to going through the day. I always thought that if this happened to me my belief in God would be the only thing that got me through it. But Logan took me a step further. I hope I never have to suffer through losing my only child. But if I did I hope I can recall this message from God through Logan and not only believe in him but RUN to Him!! Seek solace in Him!!!! We need to not only Believe but give GOD our load and allow Him to provide comfort. Because he does understand and with God we know we all will see our Loved ones again. THANK YOU GOD FOR YOUR FAITHFULNESS!!! I LOVE YOU!! And Thank You Logan and never lose sight of the Faith you have today. Take it with you ALL of Your Days!!

And I comend your Mother for being wise in teaching you the thing that you will need more than anything thing else to be the root of all you are.

  6. Logan, I wanted you to know that your story has travelled across the Atlantic. I live In Slough, England and a friend of mine in America sent me the link to your telephone call to the radio station. Your pain at losing your calf has touched many lives. The death of your calf was not in vain, it has served a purpose. Thousands of people, like myself have been touched by the story and reminded that God did give His only son for our salvation. I sometimes forget the pain God has suffered by willingly giving His son. Thanks for reminding me. I send you a warm, heartfelt hug and Christian love. I’m 65 years old and have been taught and touched by a child…..wow! Aint it wonderful?

  7. Logan, you are an inspirational young man and i know that God will bless you all your life if you keep on believing as you do, that he will always understand. I too have lost someone’s special to me and it hurts still,so i want to share with you also that i understand the pain and i know God feels the pain too. Bless you darlin.Love the Lord.

  8. Wow, What a Truly Amazing little boy! That was a wonderful Story! It made me cry ! But He knew what he was talking about and yes everything he said was so very true! Gods Son was so very important to him and we all are important to him now and always! My Grandfather passed away in May 2007 of Lung Cancer and I miss him so very much! Now My Dad is fighting Prostate cancer and has been for the last 2 years now, but with Gods prayers everyday we will continue to move forward and hope that we will have another day with him. That little boy inspires me to do just that- to keep on moving forward and to help my Dad to have the faith and strength to do that! God Bless you Logan ! You are a Very Special young Man! Love, Tammy in Va.

  9. Logan, you spoke from the heart and your message has and will touch millions of others who are searching for true love and understanding and grace. Keep your faith as you have shown and continue to remember that God is love!!

  10. Oh Logan, I am sure your heart was broken when you saw the calf was stillborn and the mother had to be put down. What wisdom came out of your young mouth. Oh, how I pray that you could speak up for millions of babies that are put down by choice by their mothers. Keep on speaking up for Jesus who died for you, me and all sinners….Maybe from your testimony there will be thousands of newborn babies saved when the mother hears that Jesus loves her and cares for her and her only begotten child and wants to give them life eternal. You are special and I know that you did hear from the Lord, because He is Alive and Well and can do all things! God Bless You….You have already made a difference in this world!

  11. Thank You so much Logan. You are truly an inspiration to me and I’m sure to other. It gave me chills to listen to such wisdom from a young man.

    God Bless You,

  12. I was just going to read this and go on to the next topic seeing as i haven’t been on this blog in quite a bit (i’ve got a demanding 8month old among other things), but here I am, all choked up after listening to Logan. His wisdom is truly beyond his years and i believe God led me here tonite. I lost my niece four days to christmas. Her parents waited ten years to have her and they believed God all the way. she died in a car crash and she was only 5.
I’ve only been able to send text messages of encouragement to her mom cos I dont know what to say to her face to face. Here in Nigeria, not being able to conceive can be a real burden, especially when you choose to wait on God and not go for fetish remedies (which my neice’s parents were offered on a regular basis).
They stuck to their guns, waited and God eventually gave them this beautiful angel. I love God and trust Him implicitly but i questioned his judgement on this particular issue at the back of my mind…where only I could see. It just didn’t make sense and it seemed like bad PR for God.
Its taken a thirteen year old’s implicit trust to shame me.
God bless you Logan. You will continually be taught of the Lord and GREAT will be your peace.

  13. Wow! Logan – you are such an amazing kid! Keep talking and telling people about God and His Amazing Grace and Love and most importantly KEEP believing in Him. You will find He is all you need, want and even desire. I applaud your parents, to have raised you in the nurturing and admonition of the Lord as the Bible says. You make Jesus smile and maybe even shed a few tears because you have the courage that so many Christians lack these days, to tell people about the Lord. Keep standing tall for the Lord and grow into a Great Oak! Many lives will be touched by you and even one day will thank you in Heaven for your encouragement and strength that you have so unselfishly shared. I encourage my kids to stand tall for the Lord and sometimes they lose “friends” over it. In Romans it says, “If God be for us or can be against us?” and “Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world”. Stand tall and Proud.

May God Richly Bless You and Your Family Beyond Your Expectations!

  14. God Bless you Logan. You give hope to a world that is so lost. Our personal opinions have NOTHING to do with what this young man experienced with God. We as believers are all the body of Christ. What church you belong to does not matter. This is where MAN steps again and divides believer into denominations. All we are required to do is believe the Word of God, answer questions with the hope that is in us, and take care of the widows, orphans and poor. When you try to make people DO more than this you are placing them back under the law, which makes no sense. Jesus died for all of us because we could not keep the laws. We are now living in the dispenstation of GRACE! Amen! So Logan you continue to talk to God and hear from Him, and Never let anyone tell you that you are wrong.
The law is now written on the tablets of our hearts and the Holy Spirit lets us know when we are wrong and it’s the Grace of God that helps us change. God Bless you and your family.

  15. Logan gives hope in a world that is so lost. Our beliefs have NOTHING to do with what this child experienced with God. We are to have a personal relationship with Him, and as young as Logan is, he gets it.(Grace-unmerited, undeserved favor) The problem with the body of Christ(which means all believers) is that it get divided by man into denominations which then puts people back under the law, the reason Jesus died for all of us, because we could not fulfil the law. God Bless you Logan and you keep on talking to God and hearing from Him. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you are wrong.

  16. the calf is in a better place now. one day maybe, we will meet this calf at the pearly gates and we shall say unto him: “hail yee, great calf god. may i have a ride on your new superstrength back?”
and he shall say: “my children, you may all ride me, for my back is large”

  17. what an awesome young man to be able to think in an adult manner when he was so heart broken i wish moore young children could hear this it really is so good to hear a child thinking of god when he is in pain and otherwise

  18. God bless you Logan I pray that the world may also understand what Jesus Christ meant to God our Heavenly Father. And yet He gave Him up for such a cruel and evil people. So that they might recieve salvation through faith in Him.

  19. Oh to have the Heart of David, and the wisdom of Solomon; as Logan has shown in his young years,,,,May Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ continue to Bless and use Logan for His (Our Saviour)honor and glory!!! Thank You for sharing this call with the world,,,May eyes be opened and hearts softened to Know the true Jesus Christ,,Sincerely, Gayle

  20. So simple of a message but so true. In a hectic and complicated world we live in, like a light piercing the darkness.

  21. YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION TO US ALL….THANK YOU FOR REMINDING US…..SUCH A TENDER HEART WITH SO MUCH COMPASSION AND UNDERSTANDING….THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR STORY…DIANE FROM TEXAS

  22. Boy Logan, you are really changing peoples lives. Tonight you just helped me to remember some things in Christianity that I was loosing, mercy, God’s Long Suffering. I recently left my church because of some teachings that I believe are becoming more New Age teaching than anything. This set back in my life has helped me get more of my truth only from scripture and less on experience, unless that experience supports scripture. I almost lost sight of God’s mercy again. But when you said understand, He does, that is His Long Suffering. And for all you Calvanists, that was an experience that is supported in God’s Word. Now if our experience wasn’t supported by scripture, than that would be a problem. Logan, thank you so much again. He does understand. Love you so much buddy. My girls and family are going to hear this. God Bless You. In Christ’s Glorious Name, Heather K.

  23. out of the mouth of a child god can speak to us all. There is nothing greater then hearing a message like that God with a truely open heart and mind not holding back our fellings. This is something that needs to be shared with everyone.

  24. “And a little child shall lead them”….I lost my beloved husband of 38 years, six months ago. Since that day, the joy has gone from my life. I sit alone in the house we shared for so many years mourning him, and feeling so lonely. When a friend sent me the video of Logan’s phone call, I was so awed at this boy’s wisdom, acceptance and trust that I broke down in tears. Not the bitter tears that I’ve been crying, but a cathartic cleansing cry that has sent me to the start of the healing I need. God bless you ,Logan for sharing this wonderful faith with us, and for helping so many of us with your heartfelt and simple testimony. I will always remember you!….Mary-Claire Taylor

  25. The capacity many of we humans have for feasting at the trough of ‘supernatural’ belief always stuns me.
I think that Logan is a very perceptive and impressive little boy to maintain that kind of composure through his grief (and the fact that he’s speaking on air as well)! He’ll eventually have an opportunity to begin questioning the role of religion as he grows up but for now, it’s clear that his clearly Christian environment has given him some comfort with this harsh life/death lesson. However, I see no difference from the comfort one that children receive from The Lion King’s “circle of life” philosophy- the difference is that Disney doesn’t discourage questioning, doesn’t claim that their belief is better or offers more perks than another and likely won’t be the root cause of the next world war!

  26. I was on this earth for almost 50 years and attained three advanced degrees before I understood what this child has said. “…for of such is the Kingdon of Heaven.”

  27. wow that was one of the truest things you could ever hear for god so loved the world he gave his only son and to hear that from a young person should even mean more to us . some times it takes something to go wrong in our lives or even hit rock bottom like myself to see that god has a plan for all of us not just the human race but the creatures we share the planet with .some times we need to stop and listen to the younger people just so we can understand what is giong on .may god bless us all in one way or another

  28. We Calvinists reject the idea that God is giving continuous revelation to individuals. Certainly God speaks to us as the Holy Spirit conforms us to the image of Christ through His word. We maintain that the revelation in the scriptures is the only standard by which any message or wisdom should be measured.I do not think that Logan intended us to understand that he saw a burning bush or heard an audible voice or that his message to the radio station should be prefaced with “thus sayeth the Lord” and written down in the book of Logan.

What do we say to people who say God spoke to them? I say to them that God cannot contradict Himself or change and therefore they must dillegently search the scriptures to see if what they think God is saying to them can be supported from what He has said to all of His children. If there is a contradiction then the message must be rejected since it could not come from God. If there is no contradiction then they can proceed with a clear conscious but should do so on the authority of the word not on the authority of their subjective experience since we can all be deceived. Also relying on the word allows us to be counseled and evaluated by other believers as God said we should.

Logan’s message seems to me to be consistent with the plain teaching of scripture and I assume he simply meant that God had brought these truths into focus for him.

  29. This is a very heartwarming message from the boy, I liked it. However, I am curious, doesn’t this conflict a little with the calvanistic doctrine that God doesn’t speak to us anymore? I heard right that the boy said that God spoke to him, didn’t I? What do folks who feel that God speaks to us only through his Word say to people who claim God spoke to them?

  30. Our family just put down our pet dog of 9 years. As we agonized over the pain we felt and if dogs go to heaven, etc, I remembered the story in the bible where Jesus wept with Lazarus’s family. He agonized with them and felt their sorrow, even the all knowing and almighty agonized and felt sorrow over the loss of a friend. He knew he was about to call Lazarus back from the dead, but that didn’t stop him from being human in the moment before he was “all God” in the next. I have comfort in knowing that as I hurt, He hurts for me and with me.

  31. Paul

  34. I lost a 19 year old daughter and a 7 month old granddaughter in a tragic car/train collision in March of 2005. This is the first time since then that I feel inspired and hopeful that God loves us all and there is a purpose in all things. I’ve been told that many times and tried to believe and understand it but Logan has made me understand. Thank you Logan. Thank God for his love and his sacrifices. You are an inspiration to even folks like me that have just about given up on life. God Love YOU!!!

  35. Matthew 21:16
And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

I stand encouraged by this young mans strength.
